1st Run is Fun half marathon

1st Run is Fun half marathon May 24th, 2015

Organized by the athletic club Dudaš Athletics
was held at the Novi Sad quay under half marathon
called RUN IS FUN. In addition to this main race
there were also races at 5 and 10 kilometers. I had a lot of
expectations. I’m not quite satisfied with the result,
or placement ider. As there were no cash
prizes and the race is not yet well established, there was not
strong competition and I was placed 5th, with time
1 hour 31 minutes 55 seconds.

Expectations were that I will definitely go under 1:31,
but secretly I wanted below 1:30.

The start was perfect, after 1 kilometer
I chested 2nd position, the rain was falling finely
and there was not too steamy. The route was first
a small circle of the lido Strand 1.1 kilometer,
and then 4 large 5 kilometers to Podbara and back.

In the second part my speed is significantly decreased, while
weather conditions had deteriorated sharply. Rain is
pouring, the wind intensified, thundering, even
some mist all over the Danube.

I lost second place at half of 1st large
circuit, and third place at half of the third large circle,
by Shone and another boy, whoom at the end
did not much further away. Volunteers and judges are
retreating in front of the rain, and I hope that they
generaly registered me. At finnish line in the front of a
small tent was so crowded that I
took refuge under a building in Liman for changing.
And then after a big rain with a dark sky
I seized the bus number 8, and in the downtown
waited for the bus number 3, and with Eleonora went
in Petrovaradin.

This race I ran in uniform that was
donated by Chemical Technology School of
Subotica, where I work, thanks to its principal.
